Do you need to copy the expansion joint of the screed to the Floorify?

It is not necessary to copy the expansion joint of the screed. Floorify is installed floating, therefore the floor can move independently of the screed.

However, when installing a Floorify floor, a free expansion joint of 5mm around all walls, door frames, window frames, sills, pipes and heavy objects should always be taken into account. This can be done up to a maximum area of 20x20m. For longer or wider surfaces than 20m, additional expansion joints must be provided.

If there is a temperature difference of 12°C or more between different rooms, we recommend adding an expansion joint. Also for surfaces with underfloor heating in one room and not in the other.
