Flooring advice: laying direction, colour & size

What golden rules are best to take into account when choosing a floor? This question was put to the interior stylist of Floorify rigid vinyl flooring. Floorify considers it important that their customers are well advised. They help you look for the most beautiful and practical floor for your situation.

The laying direction

  • Want more create depth in a room? Then lay the planks (or tiles) lengthwise. Longitudinal planks make the room look longer and narrower. That is, parallel to the longest side of the room.

  • Is your room rather narrow? Then install the planks (or tiles) widthwise. Shelves in width make the space wider and shorter.

Which Floorify colour should I choose?

  • A floor in a light colour or in soft natural tones makes your room look visually larger. You can see this clearly in the video. On the one hand, you can see the Verona (F023) and, on the other hand, the Seychelles (F100).

  • Warm or darker colours, in turn, give your space a cosier, more intimate feel.

Which Floorify format is ideal for me?

  • Large and wide shelves look best in large rooms. They also create a calm atmosphere.

  • Small planks and tiles look busier in large spaces and are therefore more suitable for small rooms.

  • Floorify offers the largest plank on the market, the XL shelf counts 2 m. Moreover, it chooses to offer the tiles in large and small sizes.
