Inside look at Sieg de Doncker and family
With a toddler in the house, it is always searching for the best combination between stylish interiors and practical choices. This is a quest that every parent undoubtedly recognises. Well-known media couple Sieg De Docker and Maureen Vanherberghen also created a fresh interior and made some family-friendly choices for their new building, where they live as one happy family together with their daughter Nelle. One of those choices? Our beautiful and easy Floorify floors. We got the chance to look inside their new place and admire the result of all these floors.
The living style: modern with a warm touch
Sieg and Maureen are hunky-dory for the construction and decoration of their home and the tasks are nicely divided. He does all the work that requires some dexterity, she takes care of material choices and styling. Teamwork makes the dream work, don't they say? And the couple's new building is definitely a dream house! The interior on the upper floor at De Doncker House is characterised by the modern style combined with warm and romantic touches. Just look at the beautiful lilac bed in the master bedroom and the pink hues in the children's room, which combine beautifully with the many wood elements. "There is also a lot in our house that is second-hand," Sieg says. So a nice mix between contemporary and authenticity!
A fresh start with Floorify
The warm touch on the upper floor, the wood-look planks and herringbone floor are definitely part of it. This herringbone vinyl floor (Uni - F301) had long been on Sieg's wish list because of its unique look. In Nelle's bedroom, Floorify vinyl planks show off (Sabayon - F101), which is a real tangible wood structure have and feel very warm to the touch. The fresh vibe in the hall? That is mainly created by the vinyl tile (Verona - F023). The match with Floorify started for Sieg and Maureen during the TV programme 'A fresh start with vtwonen', where Sieg, together with stylists Ozanne and Guillemine, turned families' homes into warm homes. And so the Floorify floors also got a nice place in these houses each time. Sieg was immediately convinced by the beauty of our Floorify floors! "What you do yourself...
... you usually do better!" Under this well-known motto, Sieg set to work installing floors in their brand-new home. By now, he is a real crack at installing Floorify floors. Sieg installed the terrazzo tiles, the planks and the herringbone floor all by himself. "And that really worked out very well!" explains Sieg. "Although installing the tiles was a bit faster than the herringbone floor," he laughs. But once he got the hang of it, it was even fun! Sieg installed the floor on the attic floor in just 2 days!
Kidproof at its best

"It's actually amazing how easy it is to remove stains," says Sieg. So mum and dad needn't worry if daughter Nelle runs through the house with colouring pens.
