Levelling

The Floorify underlay is suitable for most underfloor heating or cooling

Impact resistance: the underlay has a shock-absorbing effect in respect of the floor.

Sound reduction: the underlay ensures that particles and grains of dirt never come into direct contact with the hard base of the floor.

Sound reduction: the underlay insulates sound travelling to the floor below. With a Floorify underlay, you can achieve a sound reduction of 21 dB.

You install the Floorify Planks & Tiles glueless: the floor panels are equipped with a click system so that you can click them together easily.

Make sure to install a 5 mm expansion joint around all walls, pipes and objects in rooms up to a maximum of 20 x 20 m or 400m². 

We pay a lot of attention to the installation of the first rows because it is extremely important that they are perfectly aligned. 

Mix: It is important to mix floor panels from different boxes together so that not too many identical, lighter or darker panels together. 

Laying direction: To achieve an optimum visual result, it is best to install the panels parallel to the longest wall and/or to to the light in the room.

Start with an L panel and place it with the long side facing the left-hand wall at an angle of 45°.

Next, take an R panel and position the long side of the R panel at an angle of 90° against the short side of the previously installed L panel. Allow the R panel to drop onto the floor so as to lock the two panels securely into each other.

Place a second L panel with the long side in the long side of the previously installed L panel and into the short side of the first installed R panel, according to the tongue-in-groove system.

Next, place a second R panel with the long side in the long side of the previously installed R panel and in the short side of the second L panel that has just been installed, according to the tonguein-groove system.

Now also place a third L panel and R panel analogous to the previous steps.

Draw a straight line on the design side of the panels from the right-hand corner of the last installed R panel (third R panel) to the centre point of the triangle (bottom-left corner of the first installed L panel) and extend this line to the last installed L panel (the third L panel).

Then click the panels apart to saw or cut them.

Click the panels into each other again and place the triangle against the wall with the apex facing you. In doing so, make sure that the apex of your triangle is in the centre of your room for a symmetrical result.

Make more triangles for the rest of the width of your room. Repeat the above steps for this.

TIP 1: You need about one triangle per running metre. Example: Is your room 4 metres wide? Then you will have to make four such triangles.

TIP 2: You do not need to assemble all the panels again to make the rest of the triangles. Instead you can mark them off straight away according to the dimensions of the first triangle.

Use the last triangle to fill up the free space left over at left and right. Measure both free spaces and bear in mind the expansion gap of at least 5 mm. Use the left-hand part of the triangle at right and the right-hand part of the triangle at left.

Lay the various triangles with the corners against each other. Take account of an expansion gap of at least 5 mm, so retain a distance of at least 5 mm from the wall.

Next, line up everything so you're sure it is all straight before you proceed.

First, we place a complete row of L panels from left to right.

Next, we place a complete row of R panels from right to left.

Placing the following ‘rows’/

Repeat placing the L panels followed by placing the R panels according to the rules mentioned above in Steps 1 & 2.  

When placing the L and R panels according to the preceding rules, sooner or later you will reach the wall. You will then have to adjust the length of some of the panels.

Making the final triangles:

Cutting the triangles to size: Measure the distance from the centre of the apex of your triangle to the wall. Subtract from this the expansion gap of 5 mm. This gives you a line parallel with the wall. Mark this cutting line on the triangle. Then click the panels apart to saw or cut them.

Do not click the panels back together again after sawing/cutting, but install them in the same way as you installed the previous rows (see Part 2): first all L panels, then all R panels.
