How do you shorten a Floorify plank or tile?

In most cases, the last floor panel in each row will be too long. You will need to shorten it. You can do this by sawing, clipping or cutting.

SAWING
Floorify floors can be cut to size using a Trespa or metal saw. Mark the cut line on the floor panel with a pencil or marker, and neatly saw off the desired piece along the line.

CLIPPING
You can clip Floorify floors to size with a laminate cutter. Use a pencil or marker to mark the cut on the floor panel, then clip the piece nearly to size.

CUTTING
You can cut Floorify floors to size with a Stanley knife or cutting knife. Place the floor panel with the decorative side facing upwards. Cut along a guide (square bracket, measurer or other floor panel) several times into the top layer, thus creating a deep crack. Then, carefully break the panel along the line. This will create a nice, neat cut with no chips. If the piece that you want to cut is too small, use pliers as a lever.

The greatest benefit of this method is the lack of sawdust. Afterwards, you won’t have so much cleaning up and there will be less noise during the process.

WHAT ABOUT HOLES AND ERRATIC SHAPES?

A core drill can be used to drill a hole, e.g. for tension-free installation around heating elements. Small pieces or erratic shapes can be cut with ease with a tilting saw. In that case, it is better to use a metal or trespa sawblade.
