Can you install vinyl floors on heating foil?
Floorify floors have not been extensively tested on heating foils so we do not recommend it.
Why?
This type of underfloor heating, which is installed on top of the subfloor, heats up very quickly when compared to conventional systems that are integrated into the subfloor. You could compare it with IR heating, which is glowing hot after just a few seconds. The floor will heat up very quickly and have less time to adjust or expand, which could cause tension to form. Contact with the floor is also more direct in nature, which could cause local hotspots. Underfloor heating that is integrated into the subfloor will distribute the heat more evenly over the entire surface.
If you do want to lay heating films (infrared) in combination with a Floorify floor, keep the following in mind:
Not suitable in case of direct contact.
Suitable if a solid, hard, flat intermediate base layer is provided on top (e.g. OSB, Jumpax, connected plaster or cement boards...) with minimum thickness of 9mm
Max 100W/m²
Construction: screed - heating system - solid intermediate layer - underlay - Floorify
CAUTION: the most common mistake with infrared heating is too soft a build-up. Soft, insulating mats are used under the heating system to conceal the cabling. The flat, hard base plate on top of the heating system is therefore always necessary for sufficient support!

If you do want to lay heating mats in combination with a Floorify floor, keep the following in mind:
Not suitable in case of direct contact. Suitable if a solid, hard, flat, intermediate base layer is provided first, which is also recommended by the floor heating manufacturer, with a minimum thickness of 9mm.
Max 100W/m²
Construction: screed - heating system - solid intermediate layer - underlay - Floorify
CAUTION: the cables on the heating mats are several millimetres thick and can seriously affect the flatness of the screed. The intermediate base layer is not always suitable to eliminate this completely and stably. With these systems, it is better to work them into a wet build-up!
