What is the difference between Floorify rigid vinyl floors and laminate?
It’s a difficult choice—vinyl or laminate? They both look good. They are both easy to install and maintain. The terms are often used interchangeably (and incorrectly) as vinyl click laminate. Don’t get them confused! If you look more closely, you’ll quickly see that vinyl and laminate come from two very different worlds.

Ease of installation
Vinyl floors and laminate are both extremely easy to install. You can install both types of floor yourself without difficulty, but with laminate, you need more specialist material to cut the planks. If working with rigid vinyl floors from Floorify, you can easily shorten the planks and tiles with a Stanley knife.
In addition, Floorify floors are extremely thin. This means that you can install your Floorify floor on top of your existing floor. In most cases, you will not need to shorten your doors, which is something you do have to do when installing thicker floors.
Water-resistant vinyl floors
The core of a laminate floor comprises wood fibres (MDF), which means that it is sensitive to moisture. If laminate comes into contact with water, the wood fibres will swell and the edges will turn upwards. The swollen edges are the first places where your floor will begin to wear. This is the cause of the 'white corners' that you often see on the joints of a laminate floor. Floorify rigid vinyl floors are 100% water-resistant as far as the core. Ideal for bathrooms and moist maintenance. Even a minor accident involving water will not be a problem.
Silent floor versus ticking noise
Laminate has extreme surface tension and comes with a particularly hard top layer— this is the cause of the irritating ticking noise that is so particular to laminate floors. The air layer (underfloor) below the laminate floor acts as a sound box, merely serving to amplify the ticking noise.
Floorify rigid vinyl floors are rigid, but have a completely different surface tension when compared to laminate. Consequently, with Floorify floors, you do not need to worry about irritating ticking noises as the floors are extremely silent. The warmth of parquet
Much like ceramic tiles, laminate can feel very cold. By contrast, Floorify rigid vinyl floors, much like real wood, immediately take on the ambient temperature. Cold feet are a thing of the past!
Vinyl laminat?
There is no such thing as 'vinyl laminate'. There is either laminate, which comprises a core of wood fibres (MDF) or there is vinyl, which has all the benefits of plastic.
