Will it work with my existing skirtings?

If you’re undertaking a renovation, your have two options when it comes to existing skirtings:

  • Remove the existing skirtings and install new ones (e.g. Floorify skirtings)

  • Install a transition skirting (= a more voluminous way to hide the skirting).

Instaling new skirting

Floorify offers a complete collection of matching skirtings to finish your Floorify rigid vinyl floor. This ensures a nicely finished ensemble, down to the very finest detail. These skirtings and profiles are available from all dealers.

The skirtings are:

  • Available in the same colour and finish as your Floorify floor

  • Extremely wear-resistant and shockproof

  • Water-resistant

We offer 3 different types of skirting:

  • Standard skirtings

  • High skirtings

  • Matching strips

Using cover skirting boards

Click floors are installed as floating floors and require a 5 mm expansion gap around the perimeter. Want to keep your existing skirting boards? Then it's best to cover the expansion gap with a matching strip or a cover skirting board. Please note: Floorify does not offer cover skirting boards itself.

Gluedown floors are fully glued and do not require an expansion gap. This means you can install the floor neatly and flush against the existing skirting or wall. An extra scotia is not necessary. However, you may still choose to use a cover skirting board for a more pronounced finish.
