What if there is moisture in the underlay?
Our floors are water-resistant, but the surface must always be checked for damp problems. In this case, the surface will need to be made moisture-tight before the floor is installed. Damp under the floor can cause harmful mould or cause the floor to billow.
SOME POINTS FOR ATTENTION WHEN LAYING SCREED OR CONCRETE:
Make sure that freshly poured concrete or screed has sufficient time to dry. Keep in mind the following percentages. Always go through the heating protocol. Measure, document and keep the results of moisture measurements.
The maximum residual moisture percentage in the subfloor:
/ | Cement | Anhydrite | wood |
---|---|---|---|
No underfloor heating (CM) | <2% | <0,5% | <10% |
With underfloor heating (CM) | <1,5% | <0,3% | Not applicable |
TIP: Make sure that the room is always well ventilated.
