Can you install a rigid vinyl floor over an existing floor with underfloor heating?

Yes, Floorify's rigid vinyl floors are very thin and dense and have a very low thermal resistance (R-value). This makes them perfect for laying on top of existing ceramic tiles without much heat loss. However, always use the Performance underlay that has an ultra-low thermal resistance, so that you maintain the optimal efficiency of your underfloor heating.

WHAT SHOULD I PAY ATTENTION TO?

Floorify floors can be installed on a subfloor with traditional water-based underfloor heating and/or a thermostat-regulated electric underfloor heating embedded in the subfloor or in at least 9 mm of leveling, provided that the surface temperature of the subfloor does not exceed 29°C. Before, during, and at least 24 hours after the installation of your floor, the room temperature must remain constant at 18°C-25°C. The underfloor heating system can then be gradually increased, with a maximum of 5°C per day until room temperature is reached. It is necessary to avoid sharp increases in temperature in a short time to maintain the original shape of the floor.

Always check the suitability of the underfloor heating or cooling system in the manufacturer's instructions.

As described in the laying instructions, it is not necessary to fill or level the joints between the tiles as long as they are less than 5mm wide and/or 4mm deep. If the joints are out of tolerance, they should be levelled first.
